How can I remove my fake nails?

I have had my nails done professionally now, for about. I REALLY need a fill, but I can't afford it, and I think it's time to let my nails breathe. I can't afford to pay someone to remove them for me, so what's a safe, inexpensive, painless way of removing my nails? How can I remove my fake nails?
If you wear false nails, then one of the biggest perils can come when it comes to actually taking off the nails, as this can damage the real nails if not done carefully.

The fake nails can also be hard to remove - good at most times, but annoying when you actually want them to come off! Here's what to do.

First off, soak in nail polish remover until they are loose and start to peel. Otherwise you will hurt nails - certainly never, ever use brute force.

The bottom line is that you must just soak and wait. There is no other way. Also ensure that between uses of fake nails you allow the real nails to breathe for at least a couple of weeks. How can I remove my fake nails?
First cut the fake nails as short as possible (it's really important), and then soak your nails completely in acetone. While your nails are soaking brush them gently with a plastic nail brush or you can use a hard toothbrush. It is safer if you are in a well ventilated area, and away from any open flame.

Good luck.
nail polish remover

soak your nails in them till they are soft and tham pull them off
soak them in acetone
make sure the nail polish remover has acetone! that's what takes them off!
Just use acetone nail polish remover and the nails will come off. It's quite easy. Don't be surprised if your nails are in pretty bad surprise after using fake nails for quite awhile. Your real nails will grow out correctly after awhile, just give it time.
use acetone, Just dip them in it and take them off, you can get it at any drug store.
try pure acetone, i've done it.
try nail polish remover with acetone...it works every time!~
dip the in polish remove they disolve
get a glass..or something you can fill finger-nail polish with, and then dip your fingers in it from anywhere between half a minute, to a minute. hopefully that helps you!
Soak them in acetone, or if you can't find any pure, try polish remover with acetone... it will work too it just takes longer. Thats the only way to do it without damaging your nails.

How do you take out fake nails without goig to the shop? is there any way to take it out at home?

my gf dont want to waste money on taking out fake nails by going to the shop. Is there anyway she can take it off using home suplies? How do you take out fake nails without goig to the shop? is there any way to take it out at home?
Use acetone nail polish remover and pour it into a bowl enough and deep enough to cover your full nails when you place them into the bowl... It will take about 20 to 25 minutes to soak off the fake nails and you may have to use a dull knife to scrap the nails occasionally... and this is for one hand... then you have to repeat this for the other hand with a new bowl of acetone as the first bowl will be full of the material from your fake nails... It takes time, but you can work them off... I have done this a couple of time in the past years... Good Luck!

PS... be sure to dispose of the yuckie bowl of acetone by dumping it into the potty and fluching it away... otherwise it may clog up the sink drains...How do you take out fake nails without goig to the shop? is there any way to take it out at home?
Use a nail filer. Make the nail short then use the tool you use to get dirt out from under your nail. pick around it and gently lift it up. SOAK BEFORE ANY OF THIS%26gt; NAIL POLISH REMOVER. HOT WATER. ACETONE.
If she has acrylic nails, buy some nail polish remover with acetone. (They sell non-acetone formulas that don't damage fake nails.) If she soaks her nails in the remover for a while (10 minutes), she should be able to peel them off.
Trim the fake nails back as much as she can, soak them in pure acetone or tip remover available at wal-mart and use a sanding block to smooth out the rough tops, top with a strengthening top coat and you're done.
Tell her to soak her nails in nail polish remover. This will soften the fake nail and will make it easier to remove.
Yes by soaking them in nail polish remover and slowing remove them w/tweezers or finger nail cutter just to raise the fake nail....
soak your fingertips in nail polish remover and then gently pry them off. your nails will be a little weaked after, so be gentle.
There is nail polish remover specifically for artificial nails. You can find it at Sally Beauty Supply stores or Walmart!
Soak nails in acetone nail polish.

Is it possible to wear fake nails and not look like a two-dollar stripper?

My nails have split in a million ways and are no longer salvageable. So I bought some to wear just until they get stronger.

So, what do you think, how can I wear them without looking like a hooker or one of the women from Real Housewives of Orange County? Is it possible to wear fake nails and not look like a two-dollar stripper?
i only think they look stripper or porn star looking if they are too long

im cheap though so i buy the $6 ones at the drugstore (only the brand KISS though)

and they look very good..last a week so they dont start to look yuckyIs it possible to wear fake nails and not look like a two-dollar stripper?
the fake ones that you buy in a package %26amp; glue on fall off extremly easy.

you can go to a nail salon and get not so long tips %26amp; you wont look like a hooker! =) i used to have tips done all the time.

when you have tips on your nails grow alot too.

but when they come off use that nail strenghining polish to make them stronger because the tips make them fragile
i actually had the same issue about 3 months ago...my nails were splitting and i didnt think there was a way to salvage them. if you put super glue on them, it helps a lot. i usually put a coat of superglue, then clear coat. i also buy white paint at walmart and paint them to look like french tips myself. while my nails heal, they also look good! also, if you get vitamin e gel tablets, you can break them and rub the gel over your nails. it also helps a lot!
rofl.

try geting them done at a salon.

they may cost a little more but they last longer and actually look cute.

i had mine done about 2 years ago and it looked cute.

but when i got them off my nails were REALLY thin and breakable so if they are thin now dont get the fake ones.

you can get some nail strengthening polish or get a french manicure at a salon
just keep them short.

i get mine done every 2 weeks and i keep them short and usually get a light pink or a french manicure.

just dont pick bright/hot colors that catch peoples attention.

that should be fine.

and you DO know that they are probably going to ruin your real nails, correct?
The acrylics that you get at the salon are better. The ones from the box start chipping and look ghetto after a few days. The acrylics will last for weeks, depending on how fast your nails grow. And they are usually around 25 - 30 bucks for french tips.
it depends on the quality and length of the nail.

but looking like a two dollar stripper can be easily done.

if i were you, i would trim them or file them to a not noticeable length.
File them down so there not like extremely long like a strippers and get the natural looking ones not the ones with eighty different designs on them.
Uhhh, they don't look bad as long as they aren't those super long ones. LOL. And no creepy/crazy/hooker designs. Just simple or a french manicure is fine. :)
just do whatever you want and don´t worry about what anyone may think, but if you´re still worried about it, just use some discrete color and no one will think bad about it, good luck
I think keeping them short with a french manicure would look nice and non-striper like.
yes.

If you clip them down short and put a french manicure on them, they will look a lot more classy.
i don't think that you will look like a hooker, but fake nails usually ruin your natural nails
acryllic

and not the long *** ghetto ones.

What's the difference between gel and acrylic fake nails? Is one better for you than the other?

Gel is not better ';for you'; but it is better. It is usually $5 more than regular acrylic. They are less likely to crack, lift, or break off.
