You should never force it off, because if it is still stuck to your nail, this could result in a lot of pressure on the nail bed and can cause damage to the matrix. i always soak my nails in acetone-free nail polish remover to remove them, its much better for your nails than pulling them off and acetone is really bad for your nails.
You can buy acetone near the nail polish remover in any store. You should cut the nails as short as possible and soak them in a glass bowl full of acetone. It will take a while but it will be MUCH better than ripping them off (and less painful). After you're done you should apply a heavy moisturizer to your hands and even cuticle oil (or just olive oil). Good luck.

ummm, pull them off quick cuz it'll hurt bad. it's happened to me before. ugh. sorry but its the truth. :-)))
I just rip em off, I start on the left side and slowly lift. You can also use something thin and do the same sort of thing, but slide it between your real nail and the fake nail, that way doesn't hurt at all, I've used an unused nail to do this.
if you've had them for awhile and they're lifting around the edges.. I usually just bite them to break them and then pull them off.. your nails will be pretty funky underneath though...





if you want to pay... to get them off you can go and soak them in a solution at the nail salon... takes a bit though..and usually costs money unless you're getting new ones on
They will soften up if you soak them in nail polish remover. Also, it is much easier to take them off if you cut off the long top part of the nail. They peal much more readily.
