Get it done at a nail salon! I got mine taken off at the salon and it didn't hurt as much as the last time when I yanked them off myself.

wait until they're about to fall off, or soak your nails in acetone.
Wash lots of dishes until they get soft enough to pull/break off or open ten soda cans with each finger.
