i just wanted to know because i want to try just putting the tips on %26amp; cutting them, then filing them to the shape i want %26amp; adding a top coat.Can i just use fake nail tips without using acrylic ?

Yes hun you sure can :) I have these on my treatment menu and call them 'Party Nails'. They work well for people who cannot or will not wear acrylic but want something nice for a special do. Be aware though that they might not last more than 24-48 hours especially if you do things like housework, as they are obviously not as strong as your own (because they're attached) or acrylics.
Make sure you don't use too much adhesive or it will ooze out of the nail. You also need to blend in the line where the tip meets the nail so you don't get a ridge - this will really show up if you want to wear a dark polish.
Use a soft abrasive such as a 240 grit as then if you do start to file onto your natural nail, you won't do too much damage.Can i just use fake nail tips without using acrylic ?
