Well yeah because then when your nail polish chips the nail will come off. Also, the glue mixed with the polish will mess up your nail. Why dont you just take the polish off........?Is it bad to put on fake nails on when you have nail polish on?

They'll adhere to the nail polish, and not your nails.. which... pulls off
It's recommended not to. The nail polish is too smooth for the nail glue to properly adhere to it. They might stick for a little while, but will come loose pretty quickly, or simply bumping the nail against something or even just putting your hand in your pocket can make them fall off.
The top layer of your natural nails are a little bit rougher and adhere more easily
umm i dont think it would do anything bad, but if the nails are clear you might want to just so it looks good
